Hey everyone, long time no see! It's been ages since I've last contributed to the PrUn devlog, but last week, Michi made a visit to the new simulogics HQ, so I can report a thing or two!

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss a couple of technical matters in depth. Among those were algorithmic and architectural challenges introduced by the upcoming gateways, in particular, how pathfinding and route planning will work going forward. So far, this is a rather simple affair. So simple, in fact, that large parts of it are handled on the client, with the server merely doing input validation before generating a mission. But the gateways will complicate this quite a bit, especially due to their dynamic nature in terms of availability, pricing et cetera. Consequently, route planning will have to move to the server, which requires quite a different setup.

This discussion was mostly theoretical in nature...which is why Michi helped me install my far too heavy whiteboard in the new office. But we also sat down to solve an actual technical issue: Ever since the government contexts were introduced (at least we assume that's related), our impersonation feature was effectively broken. As this feature is crucial to support and troubleshooting, and it is something that I wrote somewhere between seven and ten years ago (!), Michi asked me to look into it with him. So we had a refreshing pair-programming session and solved the issue. It's become too rare that we get to work together like this.

Martin already mentioned the most important things that happened this week, so I'll only add a link to the recent economic report:
