Michi talks about shared inventories, gateway upkeep and a 15% PRO license purchase voucher.

After finishing last week's release of the PRO license time gifting (see devlog #472) I wrote and sent out a newsletter and a Steam news article. In the past, we sent these out more often, giving a round-up of recent news, releases and developments. Maybe we should pick up this habit again, as it also reaches players that have stopped playing and sometimes come back to check ou the latest developments. To celebrate the occasion, I also added a 15% voucher code for PRO license purchases. It's SPRING25 and valid until March 6th.
As usual, when a new month arrives, we have the latest monthly economic report for you:

Development-wise, I finished the server part of the shared store feature I have written about in #466 and #471. I've written a lot of unit tests to make sure it works as intended. An end-to-end test with the client will have to wait a bit, as the parts that actually create shared stores aren’t complete yet. I'm now working on that: the first instance of a shared store will be the upkeep store of an infrastructure, specifically the gateways. The government will be able to appoint a contractor that is responsible for fulfilling the upkeep, and this contractor will get access to the gateway's upkeep store. The store will be visible and behave like any other store the player has. For that all to work, I decided I'd approach it from the upkeep store side and not the contract/motion side. So, right now I’m adding new functionality to the gateways that deal with upkeep and upkeep stores.
