Community translations are a thing now! We started the process this week and already saw lots of contributions.
Michi (molp)
Ever since we added German as a second language to the game we wanted to support unofficial community translations as well. This week, we started the process and I must admit, I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and speed of the new translators. Right now there are players working on a translation into Finnish, French, brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Ukrainian. Thank you all very much for your effort.
Currently, the process is still very ad-hoc and we want to improve the documentation as we go. We added a new section to our Discord server to manage the translation effort. You can check it out by going to Channels & Roles and either click a specific language or "Another Language". This will automatically make the #translation-general channel available for you.
If you want to join the team of volunteers, please register an account for our translation tool. It is best to use the same username and email address as for the simulogics account. Weblate, the tool we use, is not part of the single sign-on, like the forums for example. Once the account has been created please send an email to hello@prosperousuniverse.com or contact me on Discord. We will then grant you the necessary permissions to be able to translate. Please let us also know if you want to translate into a language that is not on the list yet.
Translations done in weblate will not be immediately visible in the game. We are currently thinking about how to make that possible. In the meantime we'll try to update the game with the latest translations once a week or so.
In the coming days, I will look into extending the existing language selector, so that the community translations can be selected.
We also have a new economic report for you and added the market maker balances for EDC
and IDC
.

As always: we'd love to hear what you think: join us on Discord or the forums!
Happy trading!
