Michi is working on the last issues and bugfixes for the upcoming maintenance release.
Michi (molp)
In the past week I have been busy implementing lots of smaller tasks and fixing issues in the context of the upcoming maintenance release. You can find, as always, the release notes in the forums.
Here are a few examples:
We now have the option to rename corporations. If you grew fond of your corporation, being it a regular one, or a one-person-government, and don't want to disband it just to rename, you can contact us and we'll take care of it.
I also fixed the bug I mentioned last week, where non-faction worlds suddenly had production and local market fees. With the maintenance release they'll be set back to zero.
The first few elections already happened, and we received a lot of feedback. One issue that has been mentioned quite often, is that the list of recent cash transactions is not very helpful and has so many entries that it can't be used to extract actionable information. Many players suggested to change it, but this list of transaction really is the "ground truth" and simply contains all cash movements. What we really need is proper reporting on top of that. Counterpoint opened a topic in the forums to discuss what kind of reports the governments (and companies) really need. It looks like a report summarizing the production fee income by workforce and expertise category for a given time interval is the most wanted report currently.
Right now I am working on a small addition to custom shipping contracts, that will allow to specify an auto-provisioning store, similar to the local market shipping contracts.
As always: we'd love to hear what you think: join us on Discord or the forums!
Happy trading!
