This week Michi can report that the last missing command for the politics update has been implemented and Fabian talks about quality of life improvements.
Michi (molp)
We are slowly but surely reaching the end of the list of implementation tasks for the politics update. I am not saying we are going to release the update next week, but all the major parts are now falling into place.
This week I implemented the last missing command: POL
. It is a command that describes the political career of a user. It lists the current runs, current offices and past offices. The command can be used with any username as parameter, or if none is specified, it shows the user's own data.
The current runs table will be especially useful once we remove the one-run-at-a-time rule. So far, there was no place where one could find out where exactly they are currently running for office. There are stories of players suddenly winning an election and becoming governor without ever remembering that they ran at the place :D
The GOV
and ADM
buttons will open the new government command and the administration center and help navigating between politics related commands.
I also updated the list of offices in the USR
command to reflect the different parliament roles:

Last week I implemented a few more quality-of-life improvements for the next maintenance patch. When creating local market buy or sell ads, you will now immediately see the price per unit without having to calculate it yourself in your head or on a separate spreadsheet. The same is true when you're looking through local markets ads as their default textual description will now contain that info as well. And finally, the workforce satisfaction overview will now show you how many days are left per consumable commodity depending on the current consumption as well as the amount present in your storage.
As always: we'd love to hear what you think: join us on Discord or the forums!
Happy trading!
