The team is hard at work on the upcoming release with taxation changes and LM blacklisting being added to the mix.

This week I implemented the taxation changes that were proposed by the community many times now.
Instead of having a single production tax rate for each expertise category (such as agriculture, resource extraction, ..) it is now possible to define the tax rate for expertise category and workforce!
This change will allow the governors to fine tune the tax rates for various situations: For example they might want to generally tax higher workforces more, as their upkeep in the population infrastructure is generally higher. Or, they might reduce taxes for higher workforces in general to attract a high-tech population.
The taxation changes will be released with the upcoming release. If you are interested what we are up to in the next months, check out this forum post!

After a few weeks of focusing on helping Martin in getting the new AirlineSim project off the ground, I found some time last week to get back to PU development. I implemented a few quality-of-life improvements and player requests for the upcoming release: you can now sort inventories by material category; your current balance (in your own currency) will be shown in the mobile UI's header; the total daily usage of each consumable is displayed in the workforce overview; and when posting a Local Market ad you'll see the post type in the button to double-check you're posting the right kind of ad.
On the design side, I got the specifications of an "LM blacklist" feature ready that will allow you to prevent specific users (such as known pirates or rivals trying to "DDoS" your Local Market activities) from accepting your offers. Because this has been an often requested feature too, I'll actually look into implementing it this week and squeeze it into the upcoming release as well.

Last week I was able to secure another YouTuber and also worked on Reddit ads. I introduced a new type of ad that is more geared towards those that are interested in economics while still targeting gamers, so we will see how that goes. I also worked on a new concept for a Steam trailer that I will be going to further detail later on. I am excited about the concept and the possibilty of doing something unique and different on Steam.
We also got all our new mission patches in the mail last week! It is a huge relief to finally have those done and they look great. Very happy how they turned and can't wait to send them to those that have purchased support tier packages. We are almost ready to start delivering!
As always: we'd love to hear what you think: join us on Discord or the forums!
Happy trading!
