This is going to be a short one: As discussed last time, I’m working on an editor for our material tree right now. Just like the problem it is intended to solve, the tool itself is rather complex and consequently will take a while to finish.

This week I completed the majority of the “data part” of the tool, that is, it is now possible to add all the different components that make up the tree, specify production inputs and outputs and so on. Next up will be the validation of the tree to make sure that all the dependencies make sense, to figure out the minimum amount of materials sold by NPCs and to build the actual difficulty curve into the tree, among other things.
