In devlog #482 I showed a work in progress screenshot of the gateway traffic command GTWT. Once comment we received about that was, that the numbers seemed off, regarding how much fuel can be stored in a gateway in contrast to how much a single jump costs. With the numbers present in the mockup, a gateway could only store fuel for 20 jumps. That doesn't sound right, so we went over the numbers again.

Here is the MAT VF command, showing the properties of the new vortex fuel:

The following mockup has the new numbers:

vortex fuel

A gateway has a fuel storage capacity of 2500t, which means it can hold 25,000 units of vortex fuel. Given that we're currently calculating with 30 units per jump, that results in 833 jumps per upkeep phase, or ~120 jumps per day. Upgrading the gateway's capacity will add an additional 1,500t (15,000 units) of storage space. We also increased the maximum number of jumps per rolling 24h interval to 250.

The traffic stats are still a mockup, since we haven't implemented the actual flight part yet, but I changed the headers to use upkeep phases instead of days, as this seems to be a better fit, given that the upkeep and fuel contracts run on seven-day upkeep phase intervals.

The governments operating a gateway will want to charge a fee for the usage of the gateway. I started working on a simple motion that allows to set such a usage fee:

Please note that we will adjust the market makers for EDC and IDC again this week, most likely on Tuesday morning. The EDC market maker will be adjusted to buy at 8 800 and the IDC one at 12 100. We'll adjust the price bands shortly after the release. You can find the release notes in the forums!
